Congressional Horse Play
(with comments)

An inside look at what goes on at congressional birthday parties: Ex-Congressman Describes Tickle Fights With Aides.

Former Representative Eric J. Massa of New York, who resigned from Congress amid allegations of sexual misconduct, vehemently denied any wrongdoing during a television appearance on Tuesday, even as he described having tickle fights with staff members in a house they shared.

"Now they are saying I groped a male staffer," he told Mr. Beck.

"Yeah, I did. Not only did I grope him. I tickled him until he couldn't breathe, and then four guys jumped on top of me. It was my 50th birthday. It was kill the old guy. You can take anything out of context."

I like it when someone resigns after accusations are made. It shows character. Unlike Senator Craig, Congressman (90k cash in my freezer) Jefferson, Charlie Rangel, on and on and on.

    Agreed.

But then when they deny doing anything wrong, it sorta makes you scratch your head.

Another reason people should be beaten in the head - literally beaten - with a King James Bible from ages 8-14.

Mild, sustained concussions of the Christian variety at just the right age can prevent such abhorrent future behavior.

I'm not tickle fighting anyone. I feel no need to tickle fight anyone.

I don't know why they should get all upset over a tickle fight. Sheesh, what's the big deal? I have tickle fights all the time. I just had one about 40 years ago.

Hey, we shouldn't make fun of someone who's fighting Aids. Whatever means he uses.

Clearly, Massa is a closeted gay. However, unlike Larry Craig, Roy Assburn, and company, at least Massa has not built a political career out of opposing the rights of gays.

From what has he built a political career? I'd never heard of any of these guys, Barney Frank included, until they pulled some boner.

Why is it always a democrat being busted in such scandals? Oh yea... the Republicans did have Congressman Craig...

    Yesterday:

State Sen. Roy Ashburn (R-Calif.), the fierce opponent of gay rights who was arrested last week for drunk driving after leaving a gay nightclub, confirmed in a radio interview Monday that he is gay. "I'm gay," Ashburn told local radio host Inga Barks before returning to the Senate for the first time since his arrest. "Those are the words that have been so difficult for me for so long."

Who cares whether or not some is gay?! The real issue is whether or not they are ticklers. I think we can all agree that ticklers have no place in a position of authority, nor should they be allowed to marry.

I agree with Shel-tone; we have to put a stop to ticklers over the age of 12.

Onecos, do you ever think before you speak?

Tickling sounds less obscene than what they were really doing - banjo playing.

Banjo parts: fingerboard, nut, frets, head, rim, tailpiece...

Somebody needs to attend a seminar on 'Innapropriate Touching in the Work Place- how to do it properly in a responsible and supportive manner'

or read a pamplet on 'Say please before molesting the staff'
or 'Just because you you can sack em dont mean you can smack em'
