David Byrne Radio

At Boing Boing: David Byrne launches internet radio station.

Musician and artist David Byrne, known most widely as co-founder of the Talking Heads, has just launched an internet radio station that streams the music he digs.

You can listen here.

It has a nice selection of music, but it's pretty much like thousands of other Internet broadcasts: Minimal-effort, music-only. No listener interaction. No requests. No voice behind the microphone. No humor. I'm spoiled.

But, of course, a link from Boing Boing virtually guarantees thousands of listeners after only a week of broadcasting.
